In July 2008 six "Berlin Modernism housing projects" designed in the early 1900s by Bruno Taut, Martin Wagner, Walter Gropius and Hans Scharoun, have been included in the list of Unesco World Heritage Sites as they "testify to innovative housing policies from 1910 to 1933": Gartenstadt Falkenberg, Siedlung Schillerpark, Wohnstadt Carl Legien, Großsiedlung Siemensstadt, Hufeisensiedlung Britz and Weiße Stadt.
