Nature Park Travel - Europe off the beaten track
In Hainich National Park a forest grows naturally. You hike, take pictures, watch birds and bats, go mountain-biking, visit castles, palaces and Gothic churches in Gotha, Eisenach and Muehlhausen. You relax in the spa Bad Langensalza.
In Berlin you shop, dine and wine in trendy areas, enjoy yourself in wellness spas, go for a walk or jog in the palace gardens, parks, forests and nature reserves, visit the spectacular Berlin sights, famous museums, history and architecture and go to exciting clubs and partys, to theater performances, operas and concerts. In the footsteps of the Celts you walk to viewing points, relax in brine baths, visit the statues of Celtic warriers and princes, see their weapons, their jewelry and grave goods.
You travel through time in Weimar, from the Homo Erectus to the Reformation, from Renaissance paintings, baroque music and the German literary classical era to Art Nouveau, Bauhaus and Minimalist Art, from the dukedom of Saxe-Weimar to the Republic.
In Erfurt you stroll through a medieval town, in the footsteps of Martin Luther, from the old university to the Augustinian monastery.
You visit Bauhaus architecture in Dessau or you hike through the 18th century garden kingdom with its palaces, metaphorical monuments, lakes, meadows and trees, artfully designed alleys, views and vistas. In the Biosphere Reserve Middle Elbe you watch beavers building dams.
On a short trip to Potsdam you walk through Sanssouci's palace park or you visit the Babelsberg Filmstudios. In the evening, you enjoy the lively young scene in Berlin's bars, clubs and concert halls.
